Herdy Co. specializes in western horse training and colt starting, with a focus on producing calm, usable, and confident horses. We work strictly western and train with real-world purpose—building horses that are safe, responsive, and ready to go to work or ride.

Our Program:

Colts are started correctly from the ground up, emphasizing good manners, softness, and a solid foundation under saddle. Training is done at the horse’s pace, prioritizing understanding and confidence over shortcuts or pressure.

A key strength of our program is exposure-based training. Horses are regularly hauled and worked in different environments, helping them learn to load, travel, and handle new situations calmly. This creates well-rounded horses that are comfortable off the property and dependable in unfamiliar settings.

We emphasize:

Training Rate:

$1,500 per month

- Training and handling
- Exposure work and hauling during training
